All applicants must read the entire advertisement carefully before applying. Information regarding recruitment will be available on the board’s website https://gsssb.gujarat.gov.in, so candidates should regularly check the website for updates.

When applying online, candidates must keep all their educational qualifications, age proof, domicile certificate, category (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS), disability certificate (if applicable), and former military service certificate (if applicable) ready. All these documents will be required to be uploaded along with the online application. Any discrepancies in the application due to incorrect information will result in rejection of the application. Therefore, applicants are advised to fill out the online application form carefully.

Important Instructions For Candidates:

  1. When physically handicapped candidates apply for anonymous vacancies, they will be allotted positions according to their respective categories.
  2. If physically handicapped candidates are not eligible for any anonymous vacancies mentioned in the advertisement, but they possess qualifications suitable for the responsibilities of the position, they can apply for regular vacancies. In such cases, physically handicapped candidates should submit their medical certificate issued before January 12, 2008, with reference number Paripatra 102008-469540-G, along with the online application. They will be given a relaxation of up to 10 years in upper age limit (maximum up to 45 years). Physically handicapped candidates need to indicate their handicap status and type of disability in the “Personal Details” section of the online form.
  3. In this advertisement, if there is a possibility of increasing or decreasing vacancies, the number of vacancies may change.
  4. Anonymous vacancies are reserved only for physically handicapped candidates from the original residents of Gujarat.
  5. According to the provisions of General Administration Department’s order dated 11/11/2014 with reference number GAD/ERE/e-file/1/2023/5258/G.2, anonymous positions are reserved for ex-servicemen. Ex-servicemen who are eligible as per their category (anonymous, orphan, economically weaker section, handicapped, disabled as per medical condition, dependent, and educationally backward) will be eligible for direct recruitment. The relaxation period for fulfilling obligations will be extended up to three years beyond the retirement age of ex-servicemen who have served in the Army/Navy/Air Force for a minimum of six months, have a recognized identity card, and are capable of performing duties as ex-servicemen. Even ex-servicemen who have one year left in their service as of the last date of submission of the application for direct recruitment will be eligible to apply.
  6. As per the direct recruitment advertisement issued from the last date of notification until one year later, ex-servicemen who are about to complete one year in forest duty will still be eligible to apply. If ex-servicemen have one year of forest duty remaining, they can still apply.
  7. Positions for physically handicapped candidates will be filled as per their respective categories. If suitable physically handicapped candidates are not available for specific positions, those positions will be open to other categories such as anonymous, economically weaker section, socially backward, educationally backward, physically disabled, dependent, and other eligible candidates.
  8. Candidates who are physically handicapped and eligible for a 40% or more reservation in the category as per the General Administration Department’s order dated 15/02/2001 with reference number CRAR/102000/GIO-7/G-2, will need to provide a certificate from the competent authority such as the Superintendent/Medical Board of a government hospital.
  9. In cases where some positions are reserved for specific categories as mentioned in the advertisement, and suitable female candidates are not available for these reserved positions, then these positions will not be considered reserved only for male candidates. Instead, these positions will be filled based on the merits of male and female candidates who have applied, considering the applicable reservation criteria. Therefore, both male and female candidates can apply for these positions.

Pay Scale Accountant, Auditor, and Supervisor’s Office Assistant Positions

According to the resolutions dated 16/02/2006, 29/04/2010, 06/10/2011, and 20/10/2014 with reference number expenditure-2002-57-J.1, and 20/10/2015 and 18/01/2017 with reference number expenditure-2002-57-(Pata-R)-J.1, the initial five years’ increment will be applicable from the next month of joining based on the benefits and other benefits as per the relevant resolution, and as per the provisions of the General Administration Department’s resolution dated 23/10/2015 with reference number CRAR-11-2015-312911-G.1 and the resolution dated 28/03/2016 with reference number expenditure-2002-57-(Pata-3)/J.1, and the conditions and terms mentioned in the resolution dated 18/01/2017, the candidates who have successfully completed five years’ service will be eligible for the increment in the pay scale according to the government’s policy at that time. Furthermore, as per the SLP No.14124/2012 and SLP No.14125/2012 judgments, the incremental payment eligible for the beneficiaries under this provision will be granted.

Qualification Criteria

  1. Bachelor’s Degree:
    • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines:
      • Business Administration (BBA)
      • Computer Application (BCA)
      • Commerce (B.Com)
      • Science (Mathematics/Statistics)
      • Arts (Statistics/Economics/Mathematics)
    • The degree should be obtained from:
      • Universities or institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Legislature in India.
      • Educational institutions recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
    • Alternatively, candidates should possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
  2. Eligibility Criteria for Pending Results:
    • Candidates who have appeared at a degree examination that would make them educationally qualified for the Preliminary Examination are eligible.
    • Candidates awaiting the declaration of results of such examinations are also eligible, provided they fulfill other eligibility criteria.
    • Intending candidates who plan to appear at qualifying examinations are also eligible for admission to the Preliminary examinations.

  • Candidates holding a B.Sc. in Computer Applications and Information Technology (CA & IT) or an M.Sc. in Computer Applications and Information Technology (CA & IT) are not eligible for the specified positions.

  • The certificates/documents pertaining to educational qualification, age eligibility, inclusion in the reserved categories, etc., of all the candidates mentioned in the advertisement shall be scrutinized.

Steps to apply for GSSSB Accountant, Auditor, and Supervisor

  1. The application process for this advertisement will be conducted online through the organization’s website. Applicants can submit their applications online from February 15, 2024 (14:00 hours) to March 01, 2024 (23:59 hours) at “https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in“. If an applicant submits more than one application, only the latest application will be considered valid, and all previous applications will be rejected.
  2. To fill out the application form:
    • Visit the website “https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in” and click on “Online Application” after logging in.
    • Select GSSSB as the department.
    • Click on the advertisement name (advertisement number) for which you wish to apply.
    • After clicking, you will see “More Details” and “Apply now” options. Click on “More Details” to view the details of the advertisement, then proceed to “Apply now.”

Click on “Show Application Preview” to review your application. You can edit any details if required. Once you confirm the application, no further changes can be made.   9. After confirming, a “confirmation number” will be generated. Keep this number for future reference.
  10. Finally, click on “print application” and select the job by entering the advertisement number and your confirmation number. Enter the examination date, and your application will open.
